SICK SOLUTION: Oh Good, Another Billion Dollar Government Bail Out

Posted on June 10, 2016 by ColoradoPeakPolitics

220px-Cory_Gardner,_Official_Portrait,_112th_CongressBecause Obamacare hasn’t done enough to destroy our health care system and send insurance rates skyrocketing, now the fiasco’s namesake want’s taxpayers to bail out his failure to the tune of $2.5 billion.

U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner says no way, and sent a letter signed by other Senate Republicans diplomatically telling President Obama to go pound sand.

“As more shortcomings of this catastrophic health care law are coming to light, we must remain steadfast in not allowing the Obama administration to further harm individuals who have already been burdened with rising premiums, forced to change doctors, or have hours at their jobs reduced in order to fill the coffers of big insurance companies,” the senators write.

“Since there are numerous instances of questionable legal provisions in Obamacare, we must make clear the Obama administration does not have the authority to use funds outside of the risk corridor program to bail out insurers,” the letter continues.

In addition to Gardner, the letter was also signed by Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Mike Lee of Utah, John Cornyn of Texas, John Barrasso of Wyoming, David Vitter of Louisiana, Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma and Thom Tillis of North Carolina. Not signing the letter, was U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet.

What they are saying, and we back this up, is that the government should not be bailing out insurance companies that sell cheap coverage plans to unhealthy customers and then expect taxpayers to make up the losses they suffer.

Because right now, that’s what Obamacare dictates we must do.

Not only are the working class Joes and Janes paying high costs for their own insurance, but now they have to pay insurance companies to sell their product to sick people.

It’s enough to make us sick. If only we could afford it.
