trumpOur presumptive Republican nominee for president will be here Friday for his first visit to the state to address the largest conservative gathering this side of the Mississippi.

Donald Trump will address the Western Conservative Summit at 10:30 a.m. in the Colorado Convention Center, and we advise everyone to get there early because Secret Service security measures are certain to create long lines.

Getting to the rally will likely be complicated by those liberal lovers of peace, also known as Democrats, who have tried to block Americans from attending other Trump rallies by inciting violence.

The nonsensical rumblings of anarchy here have already begun:

Told of Trump’s Denver visit, Ian Silverii, executive director of liberal advocacy group ProgressNow Colorado, said Trump “could be the greatest threat to American values Colorado has ever witnessed.”

“We’re calling on organizers of the Western Conservative Summit to enact a total and complete shutdown of Trump entering Colorado until our representatives can figure out what is going on,” he said.

Honestly, if we put a halt to our lives waiting on those people to “figure out what’s going on” with anything, we could never leave our homes.

But we’re westerners, and we’re not going to let a bunch of Boulderites or East Coast transplant provocateurs tell us who we can support, or who can enter the state, for that matter.

So be there bright and early to see your next president of these United States. We expect to see a HUGE gathering of GOP supporters to drown out the hysterical crying and gnashing of teeth of Hillary’s friends.

Freedom of speech is one thing, but let’s put a lid on the violence. We’ve seen enough of that lately.
