Perhaps embattled Democratic U.S. Senator Michael Bennet missed the memo. Coloradans like the Second Amendment. That’s why it’s puzzling that news of his recent endorsement from Gabby Giffords’ gun grabby group, Americans for Responsible Solutions, even saw the light of day. From the brief mention in the USAToday article:
“They also endorsed two Democrats, Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet and Catherine Cortez Masto, who is vying against GOP Rep. Joe Heck for an open Senate seat in Nevada now held by retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.”
The Giffords have a checkered past here in Colorado as Giffords’ husband, Mark Kelly, Democrats’ poster child for gun control, has used just plain wrong gun stats in public appearances, had a strawman purchase of an AR-15 rescinded by the seller because Kelly was dishonest in his intent to purchase the gun, broke federal firearms laws in Colorado, and, then, news broke that the PAC accepted illegal donations. And, of course, let’s not forget that this entire gun control scheme of Giffords is funded by persona non gratis, Michael Bloomberg.
Not only is Bennet aligning himself with the 2013 gun grabbers, but he’s doing so through an organization that believes itself above the law.
Tell Americans for Responsible Solutions no this November by sending Bennet from D.C. back to the Country Club (no, really, that’s where he lives) neighborhood in Denver.
