No, just kidding, vote no.

No, just kidding, vote no.

Call the wahmbulance. News could not get worse for Amendment 69. Most recently, the flailing attempt to foist government-run healthcare on Colorado lost the support of establishment Democrats. This week, a new poll shows its DOA for two-thirds of voters.

Colorado pollster, Magellan Strategies, released a poll today that shows 65% of Colorado voters polled would vote to reject the $25 billion healthcare boondoggle. Ouch. Just 27% of respondents said they would vote to approve the measure. Unfortunately for the measure’s proponents, just 8% of those polled are undecided.

Since January, voter opposition has increased by 15 points from 50% to 65%. Support for the amendment has also declined 16 points, going from 43% to 27%.

It might be too early to call it, but this initiative really does seem to be on life support.

The survey was conducted among 500 likely general election voters in Colorado. The interviews were conducted August 29th through 31st. The survey margin of error is +/- 4.38%.
