Hillary Rodham ClintonThe Denver Post editorial board, peering down from its ivory tower, has weighed in on Hillary’s “basket of deplorables” remark that has rightfully caused a nasty backlash among voters.

The Post acknowledges that Hillary “managed to insult millions of Americans” when she called them “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it.”

They also said she deserves the blowback. But, the paper just couldn’t resist itself, and went on to call Trump racist, sexist and deplorable.

They instructed their liberal elite friends to pity those who would vote for Trump over Hillary, and as an extra slam, repeated Hillary’s assertion that Trump’s rise in popularity has benefited hate groups.

This new tactic of smearing voters is a new low in politics, going beyond the traditional questioning of a candidate’s record and position and beyond the criticism of a candidate’s morals.

Hillary thinks it’s okay to smear and castigate millions of American voters with names that would get a playground bully expelled from school.

It’s a tactic that first gained traction when Democrats decreed that anyone who voted against Obama was racist. Hillary has simply expanded that list and ordained that anyone who votes for Trump is also sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and Islamaphobic.

This country has been divided and citizens pitted against one another throughout the Obama administration. Hillary’s comment proves she would go even farther, and further divide neighbor against neighbor simply so she can ascend the White House throne.

We agree there’s a new kind of phobia taking hold of voters, but it’s not a fear of each other, we’re scared of Hillary.
