trumpMagellan Strategies, the Colorado-based national polling and research firm, released its latest 2016 Colorado Presidential Voter Opinion Survey today, and it shows Hillary Clinton with a just five point lead over Donald Trump, 40% – 35% with a 4.38% margin of error. Libertarian Gary Johnson is polling 12% and Green Party candidate Jill Stein is registering five percent support.

The survey polled 500 likely Colorado voters on October 12 and 13.

As scandals continue to mount for Clinton, it appears that both Stein and Johnson are picking up some of the pieces.  Compared to Magellan’s August 29 survey, Stein has picked up five percent among Democrat voters and Johnson is polling 20% among voters age 44 and younger – a key Democratic voting block.

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign continues to keep its foot on the gas in Colorado.  Today, Donald Trump is campaigning in Colorado Springs and Grand Junction, before heading off to Las Vegas for tomorrow night’s final debate.  Tomorrow Mike Pence will hold a campaign event in Durango, and, yesterday, Donald Trump Jr. Made multiple stops in the state to campaign on behalf of his dad.
