On Monday it was widely reported that the Democrats jumped out into the lead on the first day that people were really keeping track of ballot returns. Today, the Democrats saw their share of the ballot count collapse a bit.
Yesterday’s results showed Democrats with 48,030 votes, which accounted for 42.2% of total ballots returned. Today their share of the total ballots returned has slipped to 41.1%, while Republicans saw an uptick in their portion of the returns, moving from 32.3% to 33.0%.
