While a lot of folks are focusing on Donald Trump as a rich dude running for political office, let’s not forget our own multi-millionaire U.S. Rep. Jared Polis, a regular on the list of richest Washington office holders.
According to International Business Times, Polis is the second richest man running for reelection to Congress, ringing up an astounding worth of nearly $198 million.
That’s like, Lottery Power Ball drawing, rich.
The difference between the richest dude running for office, Trump, and Polis, is that Trump wants to cut taxes on the middle class who carry the burden of financing the federal government largess, while Polis wants to keep spending our money.
How did Polis get so rich?
He did it the old fashioned way, he inherited it.
It’s funny how Democrats only think that’s a bad thing when they are talking about Republicans and Trump, but excuse their own for being born with a silver spoon in their mouth.
Out of the top 10 richest guys and gals up for reelection, six are Democrats, including House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi.
