Gov. Hickenlooper appears to be desperately unhappy with his job. How else to explain that he’s tossing his hat in the ring for every political appointment that’s come his way during Hillary’s campaign.

Now he’s going after the top top job, and has someone (PR company no doubt) whispering his name for the 2020 run for president of these here United States.

It’s hard to take seriously, when upon closer examination, it doesn’t appear to be a serious list at all, but filler for some Beltway reporter stuck working over the Christmas holiday with a vivid imagination.

The list starts legit enough with U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren in the number one slot, followed by Bernie Sanders who is still number two, then U.S. Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, and then it just dissolves into obscurity and silliness.

See for yourselves:

4. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (Minn.)
5. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y)
6. First lady Michelle Obama
7. Gov. John Hickenlooper (Colo.)
8. Sen. Chris Murphy (Conn.)
9. Vice President Joe Biden
10. Gov. Andrew Cuomo (N.Y.)
11. Sen.-elect Kamala Harris (Calif.)
12. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
13. Former Gov. Deval Patrick (Mass.)
14. Sen. Tim Kaine (Va.)
15. Oprah Winfrey

We’re not sure which is sadder, that Democrats have such a weak bench or that the mainstream media considers Oprah Winfrey a contender.

It’s clear by the rankings the media has had enough of the Clintons but are divided on the Obama administration. Michelle Obama still came in a higher contender than Hickenlooper, but Hick did rank better than Joe Biden.
