Vice President Mike Pence attracted some ire from his foes for saying that he does not eat alone with women who are not his wife, citing his Christian faith and respect for his wife, Karen. It’s not everyone’s choice and it may not be practical, but it’s Pence’s choice.
Good thing the Democratic Party is the party of choice. Oh. Wait. It’s not? Democrats have been mocking Pence for his choice? That’s correct, see below:
Wouldn’t be able to do my job without the ability to meet and strategize one-on-one with my incredible female colleagues. #coleg https://t.co/W5KOOQDKPv

Alone with a male colleague @jeffbridges getting ready for negotiations on SB 213. Strategy is important I had to be in the room. #coleg pic.twitter.com/HfE0LQT3A3

Hey, that’s great that Rep. Bridges feels that way – women deserve a seat at the table. But Pence’s choice doesn’t preclude that. There are ways to work around his preference. It’s just sad that a party that claims it wants to expand choice can’t respect this choice.
