State House Democrats have been using the Colorado State budget as a political football and State Senate Republicans are calling them on their shenanigans with a touch of humor. In case you didn’t know, the Colorado legislature is constitutionally required to pass a state budget. Right now, the Democrat-controlled state House, under Speaker Crisanta Duran, is holding hostage bills required to balance the budget, which is legally required.
