Environmentalists are in a meltdown because some meetings have been postponed, specifically the BLM’s Resource Advisory Councils.

It’s part of President Trump’s national review of all agency boards made up of stakeholders, to make sure those panels are actually representative of the communities and not just loaded down with environmental special interest groups.

Greg Zimmerman at the Center of Western Priorities says the review is just an attempt to shut them out while the administration is reviewing the process by which national monuments were created by past administrations.

True local stakeholders were never consulted in the creation of many monuments over the last two decades.

The only ones with a seat at the table appeared to be environmentalists, so it looks like the suspension of two meetings until the review is complete is probably a solid idea.
