It appears that every Democrat in Congress is bashing the Trump administration budget. But we’re not interested in every Democrat, just the one who wants to be our governor.

U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter appears to have given little, if any thought to his budget bashing. He calls out the usual suspects that might not get the increase in funding they demanded (that’s called a cut in Washington).

Then he vows to fight against cuts that affect special interest groups and hardworking families.
The problems we have with Would-Be-Governor Perlmutter’s one paragraph reaction to the budget, is that he begins his objections by stating the proposal is “short on details.”

Yet without those details, he is able to surmise that it “takes us backward and not forward.”

“It’s unacceptable to balance the budget on the backs of hard working families here in Colorado and across the country.”

How would it do that? We don’t know, because Perlmutter’s statement was short on details, including how he would balance the budget.

It’s all fun in games in Washington to budget bash the opposition, but when one is running for governor, we expect more than just complaining, we will expect some solutions.
