Animals activists are choosing to let endangered species starve themselves into extinction by denying them their preferred source of prairie dog vittles.

Instead of working to find solutions for the homeless people problems in Boulder, they’ve dedicated themselves to finding a home for the prairie dogs of East Third Avenue and Great Western Drive in Longmont.

The activists say they’ve found that home at the Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge, and are insisting that property developers bring in the moving vans and cardboard boxes to pack up their little prairie dogs belongings and pay for moving expenses.

The food prairie pests could have served a higher purpose at a raptor rehabilitation facility or black-footed-ferret recovery programs.

But some animals are more equal than others.
