Liberal activists including unions and education leaders (but we repeat ourselves) are heading to the Colorado Convention Center today to protest, because it’s what they do.

Today’s target is the American Legislative Exchange Council’s annual meeting — a group of state lawmakers dedicated to limited government, free market ideas and federalism.

Nanny government and free handouts are not a big talking point for these folks, ergo the protesters, who think the council is some super-secret group of conservative lawmakers dedicated to being the minions of corporate America.

There’s no secret handshake to join the group, which has a fully transparent website that publicly publishes their views on problems of the day, and how it can be addressed at statehouses across the country.

Speakers include Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta. Also attending, Jim DeMint, Newt Gingrich, Steve Forbes, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, Pete Coors, Guy Benson and Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin.
