U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner and U.S. Rep. Scott Tipton are holding a town hall meeting today at 2:15 p.m. in Durango to discuss the Gold King Mine tour planned for earlier in the day with EPA officials, which is expected to include the agency chief, Scott Pruitt.

The meeting will be held at the La Plata County Administration Building Board Room, and the doors open to the public at 1:45 p.m.

Durango Mayor Dick White and La Plata County Commissioner Brad Blake are expected to be there, as are Gov. Hickenlooper and U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet.

Will Democratic activists be there to protest?

That’s a conundrum for liberals, who would protest the opening of an envelope if they thought it contained political points, because the whole mine spill was caused by their beloved Obama regime, and it’s the Trump administration who has to clean up the mess.
