A stalled agenda and a rift between Republicans is being blamed for slow fundraising over at the National Republican Senatorial Committee led by U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner.

The Denver Post reports that the New York Times reports “Gardner told his Republican colleagues in September that the lack of a major legislative win, such as a repeal of the Affordable Care Act, had infuriated the Republican donor base.”

“I think people are anxious for Congress to get its work done,” Gardner said. “People expect the majority to accomplish the things they said they would.”

It’s interesting to note that Republican donors give money when Republican lawmakers are actually doing the job they promised to do.

Meanwhile, Democrats are continuing to donate no matter what, especially when their lawmakers don’t get anything accomplished at all.

It just goes to show, Democrats truly are the party of the status quo.
