Gov. Hickenlooper has finally joined the growing chorus of Democrats asking state Rep. Steve Lebsock to resign.

Interestingly, that’s exactly what Lebsock now plans to do anyway, if he is elected state treasurer next year.

While national Republicans including U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner are telling Roy Moore to abandon his Senate campaign, the pressure is not on Lebsock to do the same in his campaign for state office.

Lebsock and Moore are maintaining their innocence. Lebsock says he has done nothing “that can be described as criminal,” and says those who feel wronged should file a formal complaint with the state legislature.

Hickenlooper says “the facts are apparent,” and if that is so, Democrats should be challenging Lebsock’s campaign for higher office.
