Communists and Coloradans celebrated the first anniversary of the U.N.’s call for International Health Coverage Day Wednesday in key locations, like Boulder.
It’s part of a worldwide call to action for governments everywhere to implement single-payer health care coverage.
Or maybe it’s just world health care, we’re not clear on the details. But then, they probably aren’t either. All they know is it’s something proposed in Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ Medicare for All bill.
The protestors came from dozens of activist groups including Democratic Socialists of America, the Green Party, MoveOn, Our Revolution, Progressive Democrats of America, United Nations Association and a lot of other groups with the words “progressive” or “action” in their name.
It sounds like a real grassroots action, if grass were made from Astroturf.
