No longer permitted in Boulder.

Thanks to the city council gun ban vote Tuesday, Boulderites can sleep better at night knowing that scary “assault weapons” are no longer allowed in their town.

Except for criminals, they won’t be skipping to the police department to register their guns. Criminals will still have guns.

And law-abiding folks, they can still keep their guns if they register the weapons with police by proving that they own the guns, and some will.

Many gun owners won’t register, especially those who inherited the guns and can’t prove ownership.

A lot of folks will just take their chances and secretly keep their weapons. If the situation arises where they need a weapon to defend their life and property against criminals, they will face a three-month jail sentence and $1,000 fine for saving themself.

But it’s better to be judged by 12, than carried by 6. Look it up.

Some magazines were banned, as well as bump stocks that hardly anyone owns. Those have to be sold or disposed of by July 15.

Is everyone happy now?

Because absolutely nothing has changed to improve the security of your town, but now taxpayers will pay for lawsuits to challenge this silly ban that accomplished nothing except trampling our 2nd Amendment rights.
