Yesterday, Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) formally announced his opposition to Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the United States Supreme Court, surprising absolutely nobody in the process.

What struck us, however, was the tone of Bennet’s statement on the matter. It led with some hysterics:

“After reviewing his writings, opinions, and testimony, I have concluded that Judge Kavanaugh will create a new Supreme Court majority that will threaten women’s reproductive rights, roll back essential environmental regulations, and favor large corporations over workers.”

That’s a smorgasbord of completely unhinged leftist talking points reminiscent of then-Senator Mark “Uterus” Udall’s off-putting (and ultimately, losing) messaging against now-Senator Cory Gardner in 2014.

Democrats are so bereft of ideas that they have somehow returned to the well of inane bull**** as a last resort to try and win the battles of the day.

Remember the South Park episode in which manatees randomly selected balls out of a pit to craft nihilist Family Guy jokes?

That is basically what Democrats do now. Just stick the words “reproductive rights,” “corporations,” “fair share,” “global warming,” and “Dick Cheney” into any statement or op-ed, and boom, there’s the message. Si se puede, gang.

Democrats still really, really suck at this politics thing.
