Republican voters are seriously slacking in this year’s crucial election, down by 43,600 than those who voted in the 2014 election.

So as of Monday morning, Democrats were leading the ballot return statewide by 5,000 votes — all but assuring a win for their team.

That is unless you sorry excuses for patriotic Americans can make time in your busy schedule to participate in the democracy you hold so dear, AND VOTE.

Honestly, we’ve never been so ashamed of the Grand Old Party as we are right now.

Why don’t you just march up to the Capitol in Denver tonight and hand lawmakers your wallets, your health care, your freedom and your jobs, because that’s essentially what you are doing by not voting.

Then, whatever’s left over in your bank account, mail to Washington, D.C., in care of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Keep in mind your failure to vote if Jared Polis is elected governor and he keeps getting richer while the rest of us pay for it with our hard-earned tax dollars.

Don’t forget your part in killing Colorado’s energy industry when folks start losing jobs and the economy goes bust.

And when it costs more to keep the lights on, heat your home and buy health insurance than it does to pay your mortgage, don’t come crying to social media. Take a long, hard look at yourself in the mirror, before listing the mirror for sale on Ebay to pay your bills.

Daniel Cole, spokesman for the Colorado Republican Party, remains optimistic and pledges this election will “be a dogfight until the very end.”

“It could go either way. Republican turnout today and tomorrow will determine whether we win or lose.”

You have until 7 p.m. Tuesday to vote. We suggest you mark your ballots then get off your apathetic American asses to turn them in and make sure your vote counts.
