In case you missed it, pop singer and gay rights advocate Cyndi Lauper will be performing at Governor-elect Jared Polis’s inaugural tennis shoe soiree on Jan. 8.
“Cyndi Lauper has been a tireless advocate against bullying and for LGBTQ rights, and we’re honored to have her join us for Jared’s historic inauguration,” (Jenn) Ridder said in her announcement.
Lauper is part of the liberal elite crowding the Trump hate wagon, but it wasn’t always so for Lauper, who stared in Trump’s TV hit show, “The Apprentice.”
Back then, Trump was a swell guy.
Here’s a video clip of her appearance on “Ellen” in which she thanks Donald Trump for choosing her and her charity that supports gay rights to be a part of the show and to help her raise money for her cause, gay rights.
In this interview, Lauper compared herself and actions to that of Martin Luther King during the civil rights movement.
Now that Trump is no longer in fashion, she refers to him as Hitler.
It’s hard for us to take her seriously. Some girls just want to have fun.
