Now boarding Group One, Governor Hickenlooper, for a bumpy ride through Colorado’s ethics commission hearings. The board yesterday voted unanimously to not dismiss a complaint that Hick violated ethics rules in hitching plane rides with his rich friends. According to the Denver Post:
“The trips include one to Texas to marry the brother of Elon Musk, the CEO of the electric car company Tesla, and one to Italy for the Bilderberg Meetings, a gathering of corporate and political leaders from around the world.”
That shouldn’t cause conspiracy theorists to tweak out at all. (That’s sarcasm, folks.)
The ethics commission’s ruling comes at a particularly bad time as Hick is mustering his best “aw shucks” demeanor for the fine people of Iowa, New Hampshire, and other early states in the 2020 presidential contest. Of course, he’s polling at about 1%, so, hey, maybe this will help with his name ID. Or, as Oscar Wilde said, “the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.” Amirite, Gov?
