Democratic Former State Senator Mike Johnston might have been impressed with himself over his $1.8 million fundraising haul, but he forgot about Cory. Republican U.S. Senator Cory Gardner today announced that he not only brought in $2 million in the first quarter of 2019, but also has $3.4 million in the bank. That’s worth being impressed over. It also shows that Gardner is going to be tough to beat.

From Gardner’s campaign manager:

“Senator Gardner’s strong fundraising quarter is another indicator of the wide range of support and confidence in the job he’s doing and the belief in his work to get things done for the state in a bipartisan manner.”

Not only does Gardner have a fundraising advantage, but he’s a hardworking candidate. On the other hand, there are 15 people (approximately) lined up to compete in the Democratic primary for the opportunity to run against Cory.
