One of the most annoying things about environmentalists is their insistence upon controlling our daily lives. There’s probably nothing in this category more prevalent than environmentalists who claim that cow farts are ruining the environment; thus, we should all eat kale-based products. We just threw up in our mouths a little.

Now, like many of their other studies, this claim has been debunked by, um, actual science. Researcher Albrecht Glatzle, a professor with INTTAS (Initiative for Research and Extension of Sustainable Agrarian Technologies) who has written 100 scientific papers and two books, has research that shows there is no discernible impact on the environment from cow farts. Here’s what he told Beef Magazine (yes, apparently, this is a real thing that we should all subscribe to) about this environmentalist fairy tale:

“There is no scientific evidence, whatsoever, that domestic livestock could represent a risk for the Earth’s climate….Between 1990 and 2005, the world cattle population rose by more than 100 million head (according to FAO statistics). During this time, atmospheric methane concentration stabilized completely.”

Exactly.
