It looks like state Sen. Angela Williams got the go-ahead from the Democrat establishment to run against U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner in the 2020 election.

Williams announced her bid Monday to join the growing number of Democrats taking on Gardner, a field that’s beginning to rival the free-for-all presidential race.

Williams’ entry is no surprise, she’s been talking about it for months.

Actually, she’s been bragging about talking about it with the likes of Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer, the powers that be at EMILY’s List, and union leaders.

PeakNation will recall those are the same establishment figures who promised not to get involved in 2020 party primaries this time, because their base doesn’t appreciate the interference.

Williams is fresh off her first legislative session as a state senator, where she failed to abolish the death penalty, and failed to raise our taxes for a massive family paid leave state fund.

So far, her failures are a win for the taxpayers.

Also running for the democratic nomination in the 2020 U.S. Senate race are John Hickenlooper, former state House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, former ambassador Dan Baer, former U.S. Attorney for Colorado John Walsh, former state House Majority Leader Alice Madden and former congressional candidate Stephany Spaulding, community organizer Lorena Garcia, climate activist Diana Bray, economist Ellen Burnes, and Trish Zornio.
