Billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer will jet-set his Democratic presidential primary campaign into Colorado during the holidays to lecture the rest of us on how to save the planet.

So if your New Year’s social calendar is completely clear because you have no life, or are just a nihilist with nothing to do, Steyer’s end-of-the-world forecasts on climate change should be mildly entertaining.

He will be at the co-working site Green Spaces in Denver on Dec. 28.

The former hedge fund manager (not to be confused with those other hedge fund managers ruining the Denver Post) will also talk about campaign finance reforms to make it impossible for anyone except rich people to hold elected office.

That town hall event is at noon on Dec. 29 at the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center in Denver.

Joining Steyer will be Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, who is also campaigning for U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar for president.

No word on whether Griswold will also support Colorado U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet for president.
