Here’s a perfect example of how Republicans and Democrats are responding differently to the continuing COVID-19 economic crisis.
U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner is working to fix problems encountered by small businesses needing to access the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to keep their doors open, while, U.S. Rep. Jason Crow just wants to bitch about the issue.
PPP is the same program that some companies with plenty of capital in reserve totally took advantage of leaving needier businesses out in the cold.
Gardner wants some restrictions to prevent that from happening again while allowing still allowing franchises to participate, credit score protections, loan increases, and other reforms.
Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Jason Crow is pimping a survey to collect information from constituents he can share with the “local media” or on Facebook in the congressman’s never-ending efforts to get his own self on TV to complain about stuff.
Added bonus, all that email and phone information Crow collects in the survey can be utilized in future voter contact lists.
