U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet held a press conference, along with floundering U.S. Senate candidate John Hickenlooper and other Democrats today, to make sure every single Coloradan knows he once again failed to accomplish anything in the United States Senate.

U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner has been shepherding his Great American Outdoors Act, referred to as the ‘holy grail’ of conservation bills through the Senate, while poor Michael Bennet is busy whining about how he can’t pass his own public lands bill.

As the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reported, “an effort by Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., to tack a Colorado lands conservation measure onto the bill apparently won’t succeed.”

In a strange PR move, Bennet highlighted his inability to get things done by holding a press conference highlighting his own failure.

But this isn’t the first time Bennet has failed to accomplish anything. In February 2019, the Denver Post reported on how Gardner was passing a different major public lands bill, while Bennet one again failed to pass his own bill.

Bennet didn’t mention at today’s press conference the fact that the Great American Outdoors Act is on the cusp of being Gardner’s tenth bill being signed into law, while Bennet (who has been a Senator for four years longer than Gardner), still hasn’t had a single one of his bills become law.

With the score being 10-0 and Gardner running circles around Bennet, we wish Bennet the best, hope he can learn from Gardner, and put some points on the board before his reelection in 2022.
