Boulder Congressman Joe Neguse liked a tweet from disgraced former California Congresswoman Katie Hill, the same day her former staff published tweets from her old account accusing her of predatory behavior.

Hill recently inked a deal to make a movie out of her upcoming memoir. The film will star Handmaid’s Tale actress Elisabeth Moss, and is being produced by Blumhouse TV; Michael Seitzman and his banner Maniac Productions; and Moss’ production company Love & Squalor Pictures.
After that news broke anonymous staffers from her former official account tweeted out a series of messages Monday evening excoriating Hill and the individuals involved in her project.

Katie took advantage of her subordinates. She caused immense harm to the people who worked for her, many of whom were young women just beginning their careers in politics.

At the time of Hill’s resignation she was being investigated for an inappropriate relationship with her former Legislative Director Graham Kelly. After the 2018 elections House Democrats established new rules prohibiting members from engaging in sexual relationships with their subordinates.
18. (a) A Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner may not engage in a sexual relationship with any employee of the House who works under the supervision of the Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner, or who is an employee of a committee on which the Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner serves.
While Hill tried to play the victim, her resignation allowed her to avoid testifying under oath about her relationship with Kelly before the House Ethics Committee.
Hill denied the relationship with Kelly, but admitted to a separate inappropriate “throuple” relationship with a young female campaign staffer and her ex-husband.
Upon discovering that Hill was cheating on him with her Legislative Director, Hill’s ex-husband allegedly leaked photos and other details of their throuple relationship with Hill’s college-aged aide.
Neguse and Hill were close friends as both served in leadership in their caucus for newly elected Democrats.

It is unclear if Neguse simply does not believe Hill’s former staffers or if he simply does not care that Hill took advantage of both her campaign and official staff by engaging in compromising sexual relationships.
Either way we don’t anticipate the Colorado press corps will give Neguse a hard time about sticking up for a known sexual predator.
