So much for the Thanksgiving spike in COVID numbers Gov. Polis warned would kill grandma if we all didn’t isolate, shutter restaurant dining rooms, send employees to unemployment lines and food banks for canned cranberry sauce.
It’s been two weeks and there’s been no spike in cases or hospitalizations, according to state epidemiologist, Dr. Rachel Herlihy.
The Denver Post reports government officials are doing a lot of navel gazing to figure out how they got it wrong.
Maybe now Polis can reconsider his color-coded wheel of COVID edicts and permit folks to make a living again?
Perhaps the jackboot of government thuggery can be lifted just a little from the necks of restaurant owners who are desperate to avoid bankruptcy.
Maybe give them back their property that was seized by government regulators without a warrant because they dared open their doors.
