Congresswoman-elect Lauren Boebert has hired some heavy hitters with impressive resumes to head up her office and work with Western Slope constituents.

Chief of staff will be Jeff Small, who serves now as a senior advisor to  Interior Secretary David Bernhardt.

That’s a solid choice for the 3rd Congressional District, which includes giant swaths of federal land and is the new headquarters of the Bureau of Land Management.

Also coming over from Interior is the department’s Press Secretary Ben Goldey, who is Boebert’s new communications director.

Paige Agostin, who serves as Vice President Pence’s associate director of domestic policy, has been hired to serve as Boebert’s legislative director.

District Director will be Clarice Navarro, who was appointed by President Trump to serve as executive director of the Farm Service Agency in Colorado.

Cathy Garcia, who serves as U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner’s southern Colorado regional director, will continue in that capacity for Boebert.

That’s an impressive line-up for a freshman lawmaker. Well done, Boebert.
