Gov. Polis is Exhibit A of why government should never be in charge of health care and the distribution of live-saving medicine.
Polis has preached for nearly a year that we must all suffer severe economic consequences or face death.
We must lock down our lives and our businesses specifically so that hospitals and medical staff are not overwhelmed with terminally ill patients.
But now that a limited numbers of vaccines are available, it is no longer government’s top priority to save lives or elevate counties to Code Red because of limited ICU beds.
It is the Polis administration’s priority to save their own lives and those of their supporters ahead of residents at-risk of actually dying from the virus that sparked a worldwide pandemic.
Which brings us back to Exhibit A.
Polis already contracted and recovered from COVID-19 over the Thanksgiving holiday.
And yet there he was Sunday, going to the front of the line ahead of senior citizens to get one of the government-rationed doses for himself.
Who decides who’s turn it is? Gov. Polis does. He decided that himself, the state legislature and media should also get turns ahead of seniors and other at-risk Coloradans.
Polis announced last week teacher unions had also succeeded in lobbying their way to the front of the line ahead of Coloradans ages 55-64 who are at risk of clogging ICU beds and dying.

It wasn’t so long ago Polis was acting like the Grim Reaper and threatening residents with death if they didn’t obey his commands to cripple our economy.
Now he’s acting like the candy man and showering favoritism upon those in power and their politically correct friends on the far left.
We are appalled Polis would jump the vaccine line, especially since he already contracted and survived the virus.
According to the Mayo Clinic, there are rules for when COVID victims should get the vaccine.
Rules which Polis broke.
Getting COVID-19 might offer some natural protection or immunity from reinfection with the virus that causes COVID-19. But it’s not clear how long this protection lasts. Because reinfection is possible and COVID-19 can cause severe medical complications, it’s recommended that people who have already had COVID-19 get a COVID-19 vaccine. If you’ve had COVID-19, you might delay vaccination until 90 days after your diagnosis. Reinfection with the virus that causes COVID-19 is uncommon in the 90 days after you are first infected.
For those keeping score, Polis says he tested positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 29., so he only waited about 63 days before jumping in line ahead of senior citizens.
Polis isn’t the only government official practicing bad medicine.
The Biden administration has “paused” their plans to start vaccinating terrorists detained at Guantanamo Bay this week after Republican lawmakers stood up and said, oh Hell no.
