We’re having steak and eggs for breakfast to warm up for a glorious day of eating even more meat, celebrating Colorado’s agriculture and livestock community, and thumbing our noses at Gov. Polis.

It’s Meat In Day in Colorado!

Free food!

Also, check out Meat & Eat Denver near Civic Center Park from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. where 10 food trucks will be cooking up free, yes, free burgers, tacos, gyros and more to benefit the homeless, according to organizer Andrew Timmerman.

“We’re ecstatic to give back to Denver, in a huge way! Everybody is welcome here for the good eat, drink and conversation. Denver’s homeless population, the unemployed, first responders, meat lovers – really anybody hungry for real bonafide beef, pork, chicken, fresh vegetables, and tasty cheese,” said Timmerman, who manages Timmerman Feeding Co. out of Sterling.

Attendees can also expect to hear an earful concerning Polis’s “MeatOut” bologna.
