The most recent quarterly filings are in for Colorado political candidates and show the Western Slope’s U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert out-performed all other House candidates raising $949,000.

Boebert has a successful fundraising edge in that she has national appeal, as opposed to Gov. Polis who seems to have no appeal whatsoever so his fundraising haul of $250,000 came entirely from his own wallet.

Again.

Polis has contributed a total of $438,000 towards his reelection campaign for next year.

A drop in the bucket, compared to the $23 million Polis spent to buy the governor’s seat using his own personal fortune in 2018.

Democratic U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, who is considered one of the most vulnerable candidates nationwide, raised $1.7 million and has about $2.3 million in his campaign war chest.

Colorado’s junior Democrat U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper isn’t up for reelection until 2026 (Choke!) but raised $181,000.

Somehow, he managed to blow $155,000 of that in three months.

Considering Hickenlooper rarely even makes a public appearance, we can’t imagine what he’s spending all that money on.
