U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper announced Thursday afternoon he’s tested positive for COVID-19.

We’re glad he’s feeling fine and not having any symptoms, apparently. But it begs the question why he got tested in the first place.

Was he exposed to someone who wasn’t wearing a mask and hadn’t been vaccinated? Did he fail to follow CDC guidelines?

The Senate is in recess until Sept. 13 and Hick hasn’t made any public appearances since Aug. 11. We’re not even sure whether he’s in Colorado, Washington, D.C., or on vacation.

Wherever you are, Hick, we hope you get well soon.

And please, don’t forget to wash your hands.
