National Democrats finally had some good news to share with their followers on Twitter this weekend.

They had a candidate whom they were certain would flip a Republican-held district from red to blue, giving them at least one victory in the November election.

They rushed to promote their perfect candidate on Twitter, but in an instant, their dreams were shattered.

It turns out the Democrats had already controlled that congressional district since 2006 through a Democrat congressman they seemed never to have heard of before — Ed Perlmutter.

Poor ole Ed, he just can’t get no respect.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC)  is the official campaign arm of Democrats in the House of Representatives.

Are the Democrats even worse at campaigning than they are at governing this country?

Or, was the tweet just an April Fools joke by a disgruntled Democrat staffer?

After all, state Sen. Brittany Pettersen is the perfect picture of what the Democrat Party has come to despise —a perky white, blonde-haired, blue-eyed heterosexual woman.

Big shout out and grateful thanks to Matt Connelly, whose quick thinking preserved the incompetence of Democratic campaign staffers.

And then just like that, the tweet disappeared.

But not before Democrats managed to piss off their own base by insulting their congressman.

But there was no Democrat voter more agitated than Kyle Clark.

We expected a full investigation by Kyle into the DCCC by now and an apology from the staffer to Kyle and Perlmutter.

Unless this was another one of those Russian interference type jobs that are always thwarting Democrats. That’s probably what it was. Putin must have hacked the Democrats, again.
