A press conference held by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and other local officials and law enforcement on the horrific shooting that left 19 children and two adults dead was crashed by Beta O’Rourke who made it all about his gubernatorial campaign.

And the progressive press are eating it up, as if such selfish acts and ruthless politics on the bodies of dead children is something of which to be proud.

O’Rourke marched through the auditorium filled with family and friends of those who died in order to grandstand on his own behalf. O’Rourke blamed his political opponent for the senseless shooting by an obviously mentally disturbed youth.

O’Rourke was met by astonishment, then anger by law enforcement and public officials for such a shameless and disrespectful display of self-aggrandizement. Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin called the Democrat and failed politician a “sick son of a bitch.”

O’Rourke trails Abbott by 7 percentage points, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average.

Colorado’s own egomaniac Kyle Clark with 9News, desperate to find a local angle to get in on the attention, settled like a fly on shit with this:

For those with a lick of common sense who have trouble following Clark’s rationalization, allow us to explain: Lauren Boebert got media attention for asking O’Rourke a question about guns at a campaign event years ago, and he allowed her to ask her question at the campaign event without interruption, which is the purpose of a campaign event.

Therefore, Clark reasons, O’Rourke was perfectly within his rights to grandstand during a press conference by law enforcement and the governor, because O’Rourke’s campaign showboating was more important than updating the community on the lives lost by 20 of their own friends and family.

Read the room, gentlemen.

The media and political vultures would do well to just shut up and sit down, and allow the nation a moment to grieve.
