Gov. Polis is refusing to participate in any campaign debates outside of Denver, agreeing to only three forums that will be hosted by TV stations and other Front Range liberal media outlets.
Meanwhile, his Republican opponent Heidi Ganahl has agreed to appear at the Club 20 event on the Western Slope, which Polis is once again snubbing, and a Colorado Springs debate as well as one Denver debate.
Polis is also skipping the event in the Springs, content to only answer questions put forth by the likes of 9News, Denver Post, Colorado Public Radio and other like-minded mouthpieces.
Not surprising, Ganahl is skipping the debate in which 9News will participate — the same TV station that hired an armed guard who shot and killed a conservative protester and escaped prosecution by the Denver DA.
And where this guy works.
According to Colorado Politics, the only debate in which both candidates will appear in Denver is sponsored by CBS4 and the Colorado Sun.
It’s absolutely pathetic how little @jaredpolis cares about rural Colorado.
It’s time to elect @heidiganahl, a governor who will fight for ALL of Colorado. #copolitics https://t.co/pjZWsVyzkc
