A Denver District Court Judge appointed by Gov. Polis has blocked the recall election of party-switching Republican-turned-Democrat state Sen. Kevin Priola until after it’s too late and the legislative session begins.

Denver District Court Judge Marie Moses reasons that the recall cannot be decided by the constituents Priola will represent when the new districts take effect in January, which is when the new session begins.

Instead, that process should include the voters who won’t be represented by Priola because they elected him.

It’s super shady, as the judge’s decision could also influence whether Democrats maintain control of the state Senate.

Recall organizer Michael Fields of Advance Colorado Action says they will appeal the judge’s decision.

“Coloradans have a constitutional right to recall our elected officials,” he said. “Throughout this process, we have simply followed the instructions set out by the Secretary of State…In the meantime, we will continue to collect signatures. We’ve already gathered more than 15,000 total signatures.”

While we’re on the subject of shady shenanigans, an alert reader sent us several screenshots of Priola’s Instagram account that calls into question his judgement.

How are things at home, dude?

Does Priola not realize his “likes” are public?

These are just a sample of the photos we were sent, and have since deleted. Cruising this type of Instagram account and liking the photos has a super creepy Anthony Weiner vibe to it, and Priola should really stop it.

Priola’s new progressive buddies might not mind, as they’re all for the sexualization of young people.

But there’s still some moderate Democrats out there who frown on the objectification of the female species and would consider Priola’s behavior disturbing.

We certainly do.
