Just weeks ago, Colorado Democrats were adamant no one was above the law when Donald Trump, but not Joe Biden was indicted for hanging onto the wrong presidential papers and keepsakes.
And now that Joe’s son Hunter has skated off with a plea deal on possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance, their silence is deafening.
Turns out the Biden family is also above the law when it comes to willful failure to pay federal income taxes for more than a million dollars, which Hunter forgot to declare but also got a plea deal.
These cases have been under investigation since 2019, the year before the 2020 presidential election.
And now that the 2024 presidential election is kicking into gear, federal prosecutors finally settled to keep Hunter out of jail for more than a decade.
The hypocrisy of anti 2nd Amendment Democrats is rich among state lawmakers here.
They bragged throughout the previous legislative session how gun laws are the answer to (checks notes) everything.
Conservatives have meanwhile preached for decades that gun laws are no good if they are never enforced (see Hunter Biden).
Because when gun laws are not enforced, criminals are emboldened to buy guns.
