Socialist activist turned politician Tim Hernandez is not wasting any time raking in the cash to lock down a new career handed to him by a select group of Democrat Party activists know as a vacancy committee.

Hernandez was appointed to the 4th district state House seat with 39 supporters on the committee after Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez resigned in the middle of her term.

It’s a procedure Democrats have seemingly adopted to lock out voters from the initial election. Then the party props up their tool as an incumbent seeking reelection, which provides mega leverage by the time these appointees eventually face the electorate a year or so down the road.

Hernandez kicked off his new position just months ago by celebrating the Hamas attack on Israel the very same day the terrorists killed 1,200 people, raped women, beheaded and burned babies and kidnapped Holocaust victims.

His whacked out radicalism has paid off.

Just look at the list of hosts throwing this fundraiser for Hernandez this week, which included high rollers and activists Deep Singh Badhesha and Harshy Kaur Badhesha, Lisa Calderon (not a physician), and lawyers Siddhartha Rathod and Qusair Mohamedbhai.

Memo to Hernandez: You can’t stand for reelection by the masses if you were appointed to the post by a vacancy panel.

If ever there was a reason for Coloradans to do something about this vacancy committee process being wildly abused, that time is now and Hernandez is the poster child for reform.

Out of a confusing bundle of proposed ballots for Colorado voters next year, one seeks to end the partisan party vacancy committee process.

More than a quarter of Colorado’s legislature are there today because of a few dozen party poohbahs.

Resigning mid term is no longer just a trend, it’s how Democrats are doing business to keep one-party control of the state legislature and subvert democracy.

But now the poor decisions being made by these Democrat vacancy panels is causing problems at the state House. Just ask Democrat state Rep. Ruby Dickson, who suddenly resigned weeks ago before her term ended.

Dickson, who is Jewish, says she quit because of harassment by fellow Democrats who disrupted the special session and are making a spectacle of themselves with pro-Palestinian protestors, including Hernandez.

Lawmakers have historically and responsibly served out their full term to which they are elected before announcing they’re not going to run for reelection.

Not to be all conspiratorial, we’re looking at you, Democrats, but that’s just not the case anymore.

Party elders aren’t willing to risk dealing with elected officials who are elected by (Gasp!) voters. They prefer to do the selecting themselves.

Unfortunately, the proposed ballot measure is so burdened with confusing election changes, it may be doomed to failure.

But it’s a good idea as a stand-alone ballot measure to get rid of these vacancy committees, and someone should consider putting forth the effort to make it happen.

To no one’s surprise, the chairman of Colorado’s Democrat Party is in favor of subverting the Democratic process and wants to keep the vacancy committee process.
