Democrats celebrated yet another end to all gun violence this week as Gov. Polis signed their so=called gun reform bills into law to spend more money to investigate gun crimes.
Conservatives have always supported enforcing gun laws already on the books. If only we still had more police officers on the job to do the necessary investigating.
But this measure only allows for $1.4 million for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to investigate illegal gun sales. Mostly it’s to make sure no magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds are sold.
We look forward to media updates on this new law to tell us how many 15-round magazine dealers are busted over the next year with this funding.
PeakNation™ will recall just days ago Denver Mayor Johnston announced a new $11 million imitative to keep communities safe by relocating 65 law enforcement employees to the Office of Social Equity and Innovation.
This is how Democrats pretend to be tough on crime.
If traffic laws aren’t going to be enforced to protect people and save laws then I expect none of polis’s gun laws to be enforced, none of these gun laws are going to make our state safer because criminals don’t obey laws

Polis also signed into law a measure mandating Coloradans keep their valuables guns locked up and out of plain view in vehicles or face civil fines.
Because if we’re going to enjoy our constitutional rights, progressives insist we need guardrails to protect us from our constitutional rights.
“If you’re going to be a gun owner, then we need to make sure we are responsible gun owners,” said Sen. Rhonda Fields, an Aurora Democrat who co-sponsored the vehicle storage bill, at a bill-signing ceremony.
In other news, Fields is term limited so this grandstanding was her final dog-and-pony show.
