Errant ballots seem to be appearing in pockets all around the state this cycle, and that has many people wondering how and if it might affect the outcome of the election.
Last week, we highlighted some of the troubles Adams County was having with duplicate ballots. Hundreds of erroneous ballots were printed and the county was scrambling to recover them. That story was follow-up by the revelation that ballots in Adams County also included several spelling errors.
Though known for its shady politics, Adams County isn’t the only jurisdiction having problems. In Palisade, some ballots are actually missing a question about whether the town should allow recreational pot to be sold within its limits.
In closes races a few hundred votes can be a difference maker, and considering how close polling shows many of this year’s race we could be very likely be looking at the possibility of a recount.
