It looks like supporting an eco-terrorist organization is not terribly popular after all. After Craig, Colorado businesses started a boycott of New Belgium Brewery for its support of Wild Earth Guardians, an ecoterrorism group hell-bent on closing down the Colowyo Mine that employed over 200 Craig residents, Craig resident Jayne Morley took matters into her own hands and contacted the businesses that support Wild Earth Guardians.
As Morley told the Craig Free Press, “You don’t mess with my community. This valley has a special place in my heart.”
A funny thing happened as Morley started to to contact these companies and organizations to tell them that she would no longer support them. Not only did the vast majority of the organizations – over 454 of 605 – drop their support and ask to be removed from the Wild Earth Guardians website, it appears as though Wild Earth Guardians lied about who was actually supporting them. Some of these organizations actually had no clue that Wild Earth Guardians claimed them as supporters.
Take this exchange with the Denver Botanic Gardens as conveyed to the Craig Daily Press:
Morley emailed the Denver Botanic Gardens on June 9, stating that she will never visit the business again due to its name being on the list.
Denver Botanic Gardens Director of Marketing and PR Jennifer Riley-Chetwynd responded, stating “we have no affiliation with this organization.”
“I’d appreciate your letting me know what relationship you had heard about between the Gardens and WildEarth Guardians. I was not familiar with them prior to your email, but having consulted with our leadership team, we do not collaborate with them,” Riley-Chetwynd wrote in an email.
As for the remaining 150 or so supporting organizations, we have provided a list, which ironically includes the Mining Exchange Hotel, for your convenience taken from the Wild Earth Guardians website. Not only should these organizations not support an eco-terrorist organization, but they should support the economic prosperity of Craig, Colorado. Feel free to boycott these organizations as well.

If starbucks is on tht list, get it to the craig people
The Colowyo mine has less than 8% of it's recoverable minerals left & closing is just a matter of time.
Don't try to confuse Barnes Dave's comments as logic.
media to bully business? It is the responsibility of the people to get their statement out and to use the means available. Making the choice to support or not support is up to them and, as of yet, they can use the same tools used to enslave or enlist as anyone else. It's called FREEDOM. Enjoy it while you can,
Ya… I'm not all about wild earth guardians and personallly I think they are sticking there nose where it don't belong in my town, but using media to bully businesses that provide economic prosperity makes you no better, it's slander pure and simple and I think it's pretty rediculous that these businesses are being backed into a corner with a choice of hate W.E.G or we will run you into the ground and smear your name. Step up and be good people and help colowyo and tristate reach the standards that were court ordered and be peaceful, intelligent people, instead of spiteful, bullying, arrogant kids.
Don't confuse correlation with causation.
