Jason Crow

With liberal U.S. Congressman Jared Polis in the Democratic fight for the Governor’s Mansion (bonus – no fracking there!), the race to see who throws his or her hat into the ring for his Congressional seat is on fire. Yesterday, we reported that Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action, was considering a run. Today, we are hearing rumors that Jason Crow, who originally declared for CD6, Republican Congressman Mike Coffman’s seat, is considering a run for Polis’ seat instead. He must be the boldest district shopper in the state.

Crow has come under fire for not living in the District he hopes to represent, but, in this case, it could come in handy because he could just as easily move to the Second Congressional District as the Sixth. That is, if he won. If you recall, PeakNation™, Crow told a reporter that he would only move into the district he hopes to represent if he won the election – accusations of carpetbagging be damned.

Of course, this doesn’t solve the other issue with Crow, which his still-not-declared opponent, Levi Tillemann (Dick) was helpful enough to outline – Crow’s got no fire in the belly. Here’s what Tillemann (Dick) told The Hill:

“Jason Crow wants to be a congressman, but it’s pretty unclear what he wants to do once he’s a congressman. That’s the classic DCCC problem. They don’t collect people with fire in their bellies.”

We’re not sure how to solve that problem, but we’re sure the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee can find a way to burn money on it. But either way, Tillemann (Dick) or Crow will be walking into a buzz saw in  CD6.
