FrackingDespite a nasty case of incumbent fever that seems to have swept through the state, Colorado’s energy industry may have survived unscathed in spite of some of our election choices.

Voters went retro with Hillary, but energy supporter Donald Trump prevailed nationwide, which is certainly good for business.

Colorado voters done good by reelecting pro-energy U.S. Rep. Scott Tipton with 54 percent, despite the green efforts of anti-coal candidate Gail Schwartz who lost by a wide-spread with only 41 percent.

And, we were surprised to learn from Hillary’s leaked emails that U.S. Rep. Jared Polis has been pro-fracking all along, and it appears we’ll never get rid of him.

The U.S. Senate is still held by Republicans, which will cancel out U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet’s worst intentions, which we learned during a secret taping was that he takes his marching orders from environmentalists.

But with Trump in the White House, environmentalists will no longer have free rein inside the federal government to legislate through regulation as they please, and as they have done for the past eight years.

So, we’ve got that going for us.
