Veteran Colorado political consultant Matt Connelly has launched a conservative media news site called Campfire Colorado for political junkies and voters who are determined to cut through the clickbait clutter of Big Tech to stay informed on important issues.

PeakNation™ will remember Connelly was Cory Gardner’s press secretary back in 2014 when the Republican congressman beat Mark Udall in the U.S. Senate race.

Good times.

Connelly then went on to serve as press secretary for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

The news site is part aggregation of Colorado news that’s of interest to conservative readers, opinion pieces from movers and shakers, plus Connelly promises some original reporting.

Connelly writes:

Campfire Colorado is a new online news source for Colorado conservatives that will serve as a voice for the People at a time when there are few voices left willing to advocate on their behalf.

We are dedicated to reporting on stories that are often ignored by the mainstream media and to shining a light on the politicians and members of the media who drive their own agendas at the expense of everyday Coloradans.

Interestingly, Connelly is also launching a job board to hook up job seekers in the gig economy with employers who share their values.

The news site appears to be free. Connelly launched a subscription newsletter last fall called Campfire Coffee that hits inboxes for five bucks a month.

We encourage PeakNation™ to check out Campfire Nation and share the news site with like-minded Coloradans.

And welcome Matt Connelly to the rarely appreciated, but essential world of conservative political journalism.
