Soaring gas prices and inflated food costs can no longer be President Biden’s fault as Democrats head into midterm elections with their polling numbers in the tank, the left has decided.
So President Biden is shamelessly taking advantage of a horrific war to signal their virtue by boycotting Russian oil and gas while simultaneously pushing the agenda of Green Deal zealots and refusing to increase energy production here at home.
“Defending freedom is going to cost,” Biden said without a hint of irony in announcing his grand plan to inflict even more pain at the pump, on purpose.
And Democrats are daring anyone to complain about it anymore, because war.
It appears some people are intent on making us believe the trend of soaring gas prices started last month.

Most moral folks agree we shouldn’t be sponsoring Putin’s war and buying anything from Russia, especially oil and gas when we can produce all we need right here at home.
If only Democrats would let us.

Instead, the White House is going hat-in-hand to beg other villains in Iran and Venezuela to ramp up their own fossil fuel production rather than increase energy production here at home where it’s cleaner, greener, and employs Americans.
It’s the height of insanity, says Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. “Trying to cut off oil dependency from a war criminal like Putin by replacing it with oil from a religious Nazi like the Ayatollah is stupid, dangerous, and tells you how much the Biden Administration is controlled by the radical left.”

If Coloradans were expecting Democrat U.S. Sens. Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper to step up and defend the state’s energy industry and workers and call for more production, they will be sadly disappointed, as they have not.
Instead, they are also signaling their virtue without actually doing anything to help anyone.
.@POTUS just responded to our calls to cut off Russian oil imports that enrich Putin and allow his violence against Ukraine to continue.
This is the right move — for the Ukrainian people & democracy.
Alongside our European allies, we must continue to do more to support Ukraine. https://t.co/iJaMSPmfY4

Colorado and the nation should be increasing energy production, not just for our own use, but for Europeans who are dependent on Russian oil and gas.
And our own Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper should be leading the charge.
America standing alone and declining to buy Russia’s energy doesn’t hurt Putin at all, he’ll just sell it for more to China and his other customers.
Once again Biden had bungled foreign policy, but as he predicted, it’s definitely going to cost us.
The oil industry is way ahead of Polis/Biden in not buying oil from Russia. We need to support US & Colorado oil/gas in an all-of-the-above approach that doesn’t push renewables ahead of national safety. #HeidiForGov https://t.co/OsTx9umvuQ
